EPIC

The EPIC standard is sized midway between the EBX and PC/104 form factors. Measuring 165 × 114 mm EPIC fits in size between PC/104-Plus and EBX standards, and can provide much of the performance and I/O capacity of the larger boards, while fitting more conveniently in compact applications.

The EPIC standard was designed to accommodate "real world" I/O connectors. This eliminates I/O transition cables and simplifies cabling in many applications. It supports both PC/104 and PC/104-Plus expansion to take advantage of the hundreds of I/O modules available worldwide.
